CIOF 2012 - the 25th China (Beijing) International Optics Fair will be held at China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) (Hall 1 (Level 1 & 2) and Hall 2 - 8, (Address: No. 6, East Beisanhuan Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing) from September 10 to September 12, 2012 which organized by Orient International Exhibition Co. Ltd (OIEC) and China Light Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic & Technical Co-operation (CLETC), supported by China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC), sponsored by Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association.

China International Optics Fair (CIOF) is an official international optical exhibition for the country China. The fair showcases spectacle frames, sunglasses, photochromic lenses, safety eye wear, components of frames, spectacle cases & accessories and many such other products.

Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (OIEC) was founded in 1996. The team that formed the company was the same group of experts who masterminded the international optical industry exhibition for China.

In 1997, when the optical exhibition came to its 10th anniversary, the organizers - the China Optometric & Optical Association (COOA) and the China Light Industrial Corp. for Foreign Economic Technical Cooperation (CLETC) invited Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (OIEC) to be the co-organizer of the international optical exhibition for China, responsible for overseas promotion and recruiting international exhibitors and visitors and management of the international hall. The show was also renamed as China International Optics Fair (CIOF) to show its prominence in the industry and the support from the associates local and worldwide. OIEC is veteran in organizing international exhibition and overseas promotion. With the join force of OIEC, China International Optics Fair (CIOF) has become one of the significant international optical events and well known in the world. Starting from 2001, the organizers resolved the national optical trade fair held every spring into an international optics exhibition, to be held in Shanghai, and named it as China (Shanghai) International Optics Fair (CIOF Shanghai). Both the CIOF and SIOF are now the biggest optical exhibitions in Asia in terms of exhibition area, number of exhibitors and leading brands on display.

CLETC is a large state-owned foreign economic co-operation and trade enterprise approved by the State Council and registered at the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. CLETC is one of the organizers of CIOF and SIOF.
