In 2010, it handled 25.8million passengers, making it the sixth busiest airport in China.

Routes Asia 2012 will be conducting its 10th International edition in Chengdu, China. The 10th Routes Asia will take place on 15-17 April 2012 in Chengdu, and is hosted by Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
