2012 China (Tianjin) International Stone Blocks,Products & Equipment Exposition and National Building Decoration Stone Selection & Order Exhibition (Tianjin Stone Expo 2012) will be held at Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center from June 18 to June 21.

Large-scale construction has a great demand for stone
a). Growth of China's Economy and Investment in fixed assets
China's GDP has been continuously growing for 30 years, and so is the case for investment in fixed assents which are 8877.4 billion, 10999.8 billion, and 137324 billion, and 17229.1 billion from 2005 to 2008, the annual growth rate remaining at 20%. 60% of investment in fixed assets is used for construction and installation therefore demanding great amounts of stone.

b). Accelerating urbanization process has brought greater opportunities for stone industry
     Although the urbanization level is relatively low, especially in central and western regions compared with developed countries, China's urbanization rate was about 50%, and its annual growth rate about 1% by 2010. The growing gross floor area and demands for public facilities have brought tremendous space and opportunities for stone industry.
