WCMF 2012 aims at reviewing past and present performances in the sector for it to continue contributing to the national economy in an efficient, dynamic and modern manner. WCMF 2012 will focus on issues relating to governance, sustainability, economics, management, legal framework and involvement of China in the fishery sector.

International and local speakers will address issues facing the Chinese seafood industry, with special reference to fisheries management, resource status, policy, access requirements to major markets, certification and related issues.

Purpose of WCMF 2012
The purpose of WCMF 2012 is to start the process of developing a mechanism for investing in China enterprises in the aquaculture and fisheries sector. The meeting will achieve this purpose by: Bringing together potentially interested people who represent organization that are able to bring this about Highlighting the investment and developmental potential offered by the fisheries and aquaculture sector Examining the current situation – both in terms of access to investment and application of investment Identifying gaps and opportunities
