China (Beijing) International Lighting Exhibition (also known as China Lighting Expo) is the first international exhibition themed by lighting design and engineering. It is jointly organized by China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, supported by China Solid State Lighting Alliance, China Association of Real Estate Developers and Branch of Architects, The Architectural Society of China.

Beijing, being the country capital and where many large-scale projects are located, is the hub of architectural and lighting design industry in China. China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES), which is founded in 1987, is the official lighting industry association in China. CIES joined the Commission International De L’Eclairage (CIE ) in the name of China National Commission on Illumination, the sole organization representing China in CIE. It is also the certification body for lighting designers and professionals in China and currently has about 8,500 members and corporate members nationwide.
