The IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium 2013 (IWS 2013), a new microwave Conference sponsored by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society starting from 2013, will be held in Beijing during April 14-18 2013.

The focus of International Wireless Symposium 2013 (IWS 2013) is "everything that is wireless", including phones, Bluetooth, Zigbee, data, and a myriad of hardware, as well as regulatory and provider issues within the wireless community. Patterned after the very famous MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), International Wireless Symposium 2013 (IWS 2013) will comprise a technical conference and a commercial exhibition.

International Wireless Symposium (IWS) will be an annual event, rotating between locations within China that have significant microwave and wireless communities and thus provide the potential for fruitful international, and thus as stated above, bilateral technical and commercial interactions.
