China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was established in May 1952, which comprises VIPS, enterprises and organizations representing the economic and trade sectors in China. Now, it already becomes the most important and the largest institution for the promotion of foreign trade in China.

The aims of the CCPIT are to operate and promote foreign trade, to use foreign investment, to introduce advanced foreign technologies, to conduct activities of Sino-foreign economic and technological cooperation in various forms, to promote the development of economic and trade relations between China and other countries and regions around the world, and to promote the mutual understanding and friendship between China and peoples and economic and trade circles of all nations around the world, in line with law and government policies of the People’s Republic of China.

With the approval of the Chinese government, the CCPIT started to adopt a separate name – China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC)- in 1988, which is used simultaneously with the CCPIT. The CCPIT admits new members from among enterprises in all parts of China and promotes trade through its functions of information consultation, exhibition, legal assistance, etc.

Currently, there are 26 regional refrigeration associations. Those regional associations, under the supervision of local China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), have carried out a volume of work including academic exchanges, technical consultation, popular science education, professional training, international technical exchanges, and publishing journals, and have obtained remarkable achievements.

 

Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) was founded on April 25^th, 1977. Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) is a national scientific organization in the field of refrigeration and air-conditioning industry and trade, which is subordinated to China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) formally joined in the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR, headquarter in Paris) in January 1978, and became a second grade membership country. Up to now, Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) has 443 company members, 93 super -senior members, more than 700 senior members, more than 15,000 ordinary members, 1,754 student members, and 2 oversea members.

CAR always aims at solidifying and serving Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) members and technical personnel in the field of refrigeration. For the development of science and technology of China refrigeration, Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) has conducted many activities, such as facilitating domestic and international scientific communication, formulating and revising standards of the technologies and products in the field of refrigeration.
