The Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair aims to facilitate this vision of increasing imports into China by providing sellers from all across the world to connect with buyers (local and foreign) in the Zhejiang region of China. Zhejiang is an economic powerhouse which is a center for International Trade. Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair is considered to be the largest fair in its category (Import fair for small commodities) in the world and has been recognized as such by the United Nations and the World Bank. It is a fairly new initiative to promote import into China and has been running for three years. Previously, the fair has resulted in the sales of over 2 million types of small commodities by over 100 countries.
